This is a great idea to bloat up the countries where the population is very high and looks alarming for a few countries. Take a look at great Britan, India, Japan, China, they seem to be bursting out, really!!
Click on picture to open in new tab. Looks like Americ and Africa are well in shape and asia is growing bigger and bigger everyday. These are developing and developed nations, where measures can be taken and executed quite easily. Australia also seems to be thin.

World population map - the map posted came from a collaboration of US and UK cartographic specialists. They have a large series of images representing a variety of social an poliitical issues. The USA prof who is key in developing these is Mark Newman (mejn@umich.edu). My company also produces a World population map that was developed from the same data but is based on little squares…each of which represnts one million people. See http://odtmaps.com/detail.asp_Q_product_id_E_PopMap-35×52 or click through from the home page at www.ODTmaps.com. We also provide rich data and background on how (and why) the map was developed. See http://odtmaps.com/behind_the_maps/population_map/population-map-explanation.asp Included with every map is a hardcopy STATE OF THE VILLAGE REPORT which is on-line at http://odtmaps.com/pdf/popvillage.pdf ALSO See http://odtmaps.com/behind_the_maps/population_map/contributors/default.asp for the backgrounds of the contributing experts who put this together. Our map has snapshots of the world’s population (by continent) at the bottom of the map, from 100,000 years ago, at the Birth of Christ, 1650, 1900, and also US State Department projections for 2150.

Obviously wrong. Canada has a population of about 34 million whereas the United States of America have a population of more than 300 million, shouldn’t the United States of America be almost ten times larger than Canada??
