blue ray wins against hd-dvd

In what was making users uncomfortable with multiple formats and hence introducing multiple players in portable media, Sony took a win in the mighty battle between SONY and toshiba. The confusion was all about developing and producing newer formats in storage and playback. Its all about blu-ray against hd-dvd.
Toshiba announced to the Japan media that the company will now stop producing hd-dvd and other accessories with it, effect today. This is a mighty win for SONY, who is playing a trump card on what can be a major revenue producer in the next few years.
