It was desktops and servers at first, and a few would have already guessed it right, ubuntu is developing a mobile version too. In teh mobile opertaing system cloud, where security and memory play a bigger role than performance and load, ubuntu finds a great role to play. Her comes ubuntu mobile.

With flash and java, being two hands of the internet, the ubuntu mobile platform will offer support for these two along with the heart of the system - ajax.

I was surprised, that i did not come across this page till date and it is in my blog instantly.

I am more than happy to see ubuntu working hard on the next release. The new release was given a name today. This will be release 8.10 for ubuntu after the 8 series has planned to introduce more features and also enhance security.

The release is scheduled September this year and the name “Intrepid Ibex” was given today. The nearest release ubuntu 8.04 LTS will mostly be released in April this year. Nicked the abex, it also marks four years of ubuntu.

Ubuntu operating system has been magical and really good for us. The opertaing system has the power of any operating system as well the security, which is missing in one very popular operating system, everybody must guess this!!
